Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

IGY6 Consulting Services Inc. is committed to ensuring that our website, igy6.ca, is accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We believe that equal access to digital content and services is fundamental, and we strive to make our online presence as inclusive and usable as possible for everyone.

We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our Site and align with recognized international standards and applicable Canadian accessibility legislation, including the Accessible Canada Act (ACA) and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), where applicable.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and are organized around four principles:

  • Perceivable — Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.

  • Operable — User interface components and navigation must be operable.

  • Understandable — Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.

  • Robust — Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

 

3. Current Accessibility Features

We have implemented or are working to implement the following accessibility features on the Site:

3.1 Visual Design and Readability

  • High contrast colour ratios to ensure text is readable against background colours

  • Scalable font sizes that can be adjusted using browser settings without loss of content or functionality

  • Clear, consistent page layouts with logical reading order

  • Use of plain, clear language throughout the Site

3.2 Navigation and Structure

  • Descriptive page titles to help users orient themselves

  • Consistent navigation menus across all pages

  • Clear and descriptive headings and subheadings to organize content hierarchically

  • Skip navigation links to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive navigation

 

3.3 Images and Media

  • Alternative text (alt text) on all meaningful images to convey their purpose to screen reader users

  • Decorative images are marked appropriately to be ignored by assistive technologies

 

3.4 Forms and Interactive Elements

  • Form fields are labelled with descriptive labels associated programmatically with their respective inputs, including the contact form (name, company, email, area of interest, message, and file upload) and the newsletter sign-up field

  • Error messages are clear, descriptive, and associated with the relevant form field

  • Contact and newsletter forms are navigable using keyboard alone

  • Sufficient time is provided for users to complete forms

 

3.5 Keyboard Accessibility

  • All interactive elements are operable via keyboard without requiring a mouse

  • Visible focus indicators are present on all focusable elements

  • Tab order follows a logical sequence consistent with the visual layout

3.6 Colour and Contrast

  • We aim to maintain a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text as specified by WCAG 2.1 Level AA

  • Colour is not used as the sole means of conveying information

 

4. Third-Party Content and Integrations

Our Site is built on the Wix website platform and may include additional third-party tools and embedded services, such as scheduling or booking platforms (e.g., Calendly) and social media links (e.g., LinkedIn). While we select third-party tools with accessibility in mind, we cannot guarantee that all third-party content fully meets WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. We encourage you to review the accessibility statements of any third-party services you use through our Site.

If you encounter accessibility barriers when using a third-party tool embedded in our Site, please contact us and we will do our best to assist or provide an accessible alternative.

5. Known Accessibility Limitations

We are aware that some areas of the Site may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We are committed to ongoing improvement and are working to address any identified gaps. Known limitations may include:

  • Some older documents (such as PDFs) may not be fully accessible; we are working to provide accessible alternatives or summaries where applicable

  • Third-party embedded content, including our external booking and analytics tools, may present accessibility barriers outside our direct control

We are actively working to audit the Site and remediate identified accessibility issues on an ongoing basis.

6. Assistive Technology Compatibility

The Site is designed and built to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

  • Screen magnification tools

  • Voice recognition software (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking)

  • Keyboard-only navigation

  • High contrast and zoom modes supported by modern browsers

The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile devices.

We aim to respond to accessibility accommodation requests within five (5) business days.

Accessibility is not a one-time task but a continuous commitment. We are dedicated to:

  • Conducting periodic accessibility audits of our Site

  • Training our web development and content teams on accessibility best practices

  • Incorporating accessibility requirements into all future Site updates and redesigns

  • Promptly addressing any accessibility issues reported by users

  • Keeping this Accessibility Statement current as improvements are made

 

11. Review and Updates

This Accessibility Statement was last reviewed and updated on July 13, 2026. We review and update this statement at least annually or following any significant changes to the Site.
